Great album, balance of retro and modern is nice

Agreed.

Excellent work as always, Jamie. Just heard "Hesperus", "All Returns" and "Empty Vessels". They definitely have a nice sound.
good balance of modern and retro. Loved the jam in "All Returns", the instrumentals are really nice. Very psychedelic, but
focused all the way.

Thanks man. Glad you liked those tracks.

Yeah it was great. Thanks for telling me about it. Going to try and find the album and listen to it in full. Anyway, loved the review. POS'd,

"...if you were to ever find yourself back in time on a dull, rainy day in medieval Britain with nothing about your person other than a sword and some LSD, you’d be hard pressed to find a better soundtrack than Fain."

Thanks for that Voivod, will read through it later.
Just had a quick look at it and it's an interesting mix of old school with some contemporary stuff thrown in.
Also, great to see Groundhogs on there, really underrated band.
|
| |
I really appreciate the fact that the band is so open about its influences. It wasn't always like that with rock outfits.
|
| |
Yeah it's good to see.

^ I'm listening to Steeple atm, and I have to agree with your Caravan' comparison, Captn. Even for the vox. Steeple rules hard. I'm gonna relisten to Fain right after this.

@Captain: Glad you're liking this so much bro. I've never really though of Caravan when listening to this but I see where you're coming from, there's definitely a Canterbury scene vibe in there.
Good to see you're liking Steeple, Jethro. I think this album takes more listens to fully appreciate compared to Steeple which has a more immediate impact.

still gotta check this
