i brought you my bullets is so much better. this cd screams out "we're pop punk now yeah!" i almost cried when they were number 1 on the rolling stones best new bands. they sold out, their sound is completely different. don't get me wrong though. i still love them, just it's a perfect example of selling out.

To The End really is the only song that stands out of this in my opinion. I listened to this a few times, but wasn't too impressed.

this album is really addicting. so i just HAD to review it. enjoy.

HELENA- a cool way to start of the album, a sort of whispering singing kind of thing. then it goes into a fast punk verse. pretty average punk song. but still good.-3.5/5

GIVE 'EM HELL KID- this is a cool song. it starts out with a distorted bass line then its goes into another sort of average punk song but the verse is really cool cuz mikey(singer) kind of uses a megaphone to make his voice distorted. really cool song.4.5/5

TO THE END-another whispering/singing intro. then it goes into a palm muted onto a guitar riff that almost sounds like a synthesizer. its still really cool. a really awesome solo with one guitar with a lot of wah and reverb and one other playing a lot of hammer ons and pull ofs to sound REALLY cool. a definite highlight of this album-5/5

YOU KNOW WHAT THEY DO TO GUYS LIKE US IN PRISON-the verse has a guitar that sounds like an organ. then it goes into a catchy chorus. a rather cool song IMO. a wierd laughing outro. 4/5

I"M NOT OKAY(I PROMISE)- i lovre this song. its a really awesome single. its got a cool intro/chorus guitar line that consist of octaves. then theres a really cool 2 guitar solo. and the breakdown is wierd and not really needed, but still kinda cool in owns own way. a good song to define whether or not to buy this album-4.5/5

THE GHOST OF YOU- for some reason this intro annoys me. i think its just my own opinion or it might not be. anyhoo its a slow verse followed by a fast chorus. these styles are getting a bit worn out by now. the lyrics, however rather make up for what was lost musically-3.5/5

THIS JETSET LIFE IS GONNA KILL YOU-an average and rather boring song. kind of clever lyrics though"for the last night i lie, can i lie next to you?" pretty average song. a filler none-theless.-3/5

THANK YOU FOR THE VENOM-a really metal-like riff. reminds me of A7X. anyways a really cool song. personally i love it. its a great song. my favorite on the album. one of my definite reccomendations and songs to tell whether or not you like MCR-5/5

HANG 'EM HIGH-a like western intro. kinda dumb. it gets better. fast verse. fast chorus. but its not bland in any way. defintaly an above average filler. 3.5/5

ITS NOT A FASHION STATEMENT, ITS A ****ING DEATHWISH- this is a cool song with a cool title. not mcuh to explain here. pretty straight forward song. but good nonetheless.-3.5-4/5

CEMETARY DRIVE- this is a cool song that tells the story about getting drunk and someone dying i think. im not good with translating lyrics. other wise avergare song. but its not worth skipping over.-4/5

I NEVER TOLD YOU WHAT I DO FOR A LIVING- this is my favorite song on the album. very good and a great closer. i'm not gonna describe much because i'm tired but my mind is dead, but if you have a chance to hear this song, i advise you check it out.-5/5

overall good album. i highly recomend it if you like the used. could be better and more original. but still worth hearing. 4/5

My friend had been telling me how great this band called My Chemical Romance was. So, I finally gave it a listen and I was not impressed. They are way too poppy, it's like every song they play has to be catchy enough to be played over and over again on the radio. And the lead singer's voice is really annoying. And these guys are definately not hardcore. I don't get how you could think they are.

it was so cool he flipped his microphone around and it hit him in the mouth and he was bleedin
Hahahahhahahahaha I bet they must have wonderful stage presence to pull something like that off.

..Who formed 1st?? The Used or MCR?? coz I'm a fan of both bands (MCR just recently) and i saw them play on a show... and I saw how they looked and I instantly felt like The Used has been copying them...

like this collar up dracula shirt of one guitarist, plus the long fringe of the other guitarist equals Jeph F**KING Howard (bassist of the used)... and the vocalist having long hair and pink smudged eyeliner or watever... JUST LIKE BERT MCRACKEN (singer of The Used)...

And I noticed people compare them alot too... don't get me wrong.. I love both bands... I just wanna know who's copying who's look.. and I wanna know who formed 1st

I was really dissapointed by this album, I loved the dark tone they had on 'I Gave You My Bullets...' but I found this album too poppy and sing-along. I only listened to it 3 times through and have never put it on since. They just seem to have lost everything that gave them an original edge.

This album is in no way (Hardcore/Emo). It's (Pop-Punk) and you would do well to learn that threadstarter.

I haven't heard "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love," so I guess I can't compare them, but I really like Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. I don't think they sound pop-punk, and their lyrics are so much different from typical pop-punk bands, with lines like "What's life like bleeding on the floor?" and "The angels just cut out her tongue."
However, I do think they sound a bit goth. Which is good, at least in my opinion. You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison is an awesome song, and so are Hang 'Em High and Thank You For The Venom.

Maybe you should listen to their first CD. Also, "What's life like bleeding on the floor?" sounds like something from any other generic pop punk band like Hawthorne Heights or Finch.

Please explain how a sound can be goth. Then listen to any song by the band Coil. Then kill yourself. The only reason you're thinking this is because the singer has dark hair and white skin with those dark circles around his eyes.

i wouldn't classify this band hardcore... and i got this cd at a chapters, it cost me around 27 dollars and it wasn't worth my money. i heard them from purevolume and the songs on there were good; they were the only good songs on the album. i found the lyrics quite irritating to tell the truth, and also the guitar
