It's funny how this and Neon Bible are modern classics and The Suburbs is one of the most pretentious pieces of unenjoyable shit ever released. Reflektor is probably a mix of those two things.
Either way I liked your review, I've only recently come around to this and I'm looking forward to seeing them live next year

I want to see them live pretty badly, and the suburbs is pretty bad if you ask me.

Love The Suburbs personally.
Hogan, if In The Backseat is third, what are one and two? And did you dig Reflektor?

Excellent review, very personal but i think that works here. This is album is a classic to YOU and that's what makes the 1st person approach to this review so appropriate. Very well written to, emotive.

FUCK, finally realized what the review reminded me off. Its strikingly similar to Adam Knott's review of Deja Entendu

Touching review mate. to be sincere, AF's albums all touch me in different ways, most specially
Suburbs recalls of early days of discovering flavors. after so many years listening to them, though,
Funeral has kind of sparked a feeling somewhat equal to what you were describing.
Oh well, thought I'd share this.
real good review.

Thanks man, and I couldn't really get into anything by the band after this. Idk why but I think the suburbs are easily their second best

I hate myself for taking this long to realise this album is near flawless. Shit gave me chills
