well the only electronic music i've been exposed to is the crap they play on the radio, so i guess i'm not the best person to judge on that

Review is good man but little tip. Never write a review about a genre you hate but know nothing about.

Dude, you seriously need to get some Aphex Twin or Boards of Canada or Autechre SOMETHING in your diet. Radio pop =/= electronic music.

Off the top of my head, some stuff I've been digging recently

Letherette - Letherette (thanks Eloriaz for the rec!)
Machinedrum - Vapor City
Frederic Robinson - Mixed Signals (don't remember if you liked it/checked it but if not LISTEN NOW)
Horsepower Productions - In Fine Style (from 2003 but still golden)

That should be enough to get you started, check the first three before the fourth and enjoy!

Kneel you're just asking for a shit storm eh?
Mongi I dont think its hard to write a review for a genre as un diverse as pop punk.
Cheers Brostep!

Green man it isn't, it's a tiny bit choppy and as someone who doesnt listen to much electronic I cant say entirely my problem with the constant name throwing of terms you dont understand but yeah.

No, stepping out of your comfort zone is admirable. It's good to do that every so often, but you should do some research before actually writing the review. Mainly: electronic =/= dubstep

From our dear friend Wizard on LP fans

1. Beween the ages of 12-17
2. Is just starting to discover music
3. Wouldn't ever dream of considering these guys nu-metal, too good for that
4. Will probably hate this band in a year
5. Most likely wants to fit in at their high school
6. Is gay and thinks Chester is a great singer and is good looking
7. Thinks 3 note power chords with DJ scratching layered in has never been done before
8. Fag
9. Has problems admitting they don't write good music
10. Waits impatiently for testes to drop

For those who think most electronic music sucks.. We should strap them down a clockwork orange style and force them to listen to Boards of Canada for a 24 hour session.

5 is completely irrelevant nowadays

when i proudly announced my LP fanboyism two years ago, i was vilified for liking 'screamo' 'post-hardcore' 'emo' shit.

goddamn they were way off

Honestly it wouldn't be "hard" but if you're writing about an un diverse pop punk album but generalize it as a bad album because of your review you are saying there is no good pop punk. It just overlooks the merits of said genre. And that goes for any other genre too. Just how I view it.

@Storm

I am an LP fan.

1. Correct

2. Incorrect

3. Well, they're not nu metal anymore are they?

4. I've liked them for over a year but who knows if i will a year from now.

5. Nah I don't know of any other LP fans at my entire school.

6. Not gay, Chester is past his vocal prime but still a decent vocalist. He looks perfectly fine for a guy in his mid 30s.

7. Um... its obviously been done many times before.

8. Nah

9. Their lyrics are a bit on the subpar side.

10. That was like 3 years ago.
