Wow, well you seem like a pretty cool guy so I won't go insane. Tom Morello is not

overrated, if you have listened to songs like Testify, Know Your Enemy, Fistfull of

Steel, Down Rodeo, and Wake Up you would know what I mean. Red Hot Chili

Peppers play completely different things than fall of troy. Trust me, It isn't that hard

to shred/riff or whatever the hell that screamo band does, while singing. I'm not one

to talk, because I can't play that while singing, but as far as professional musicions

go, Alexi Lahiio kicks the shit out of fall of troy when it comes to amazing guiitar

while singing. Also, I don't listen to old afi, where most of bad guitar and bad songs

come from, save maybe some Shut your Mouth and Open your eyes. from 336

album and up, the only "bad songs" i can think of are maybe the Nephim and Smile

So does:

Steve Vai

John Petrucci (One of the most amazing guitarists in the world)

Joe Strummer/Mick Jones

John Frusicante

Claudio Sanchez

and many various others.

As far as I'm concerned, Fall of Troy is just another stupid screamo band, and they

can go stand in the crowed with the last 1000 screamo bands.

I'm not trying to insult your music or anything but I also hate Rise Against, and their

guitarist is nothing special.

I do like Thrice, I don't particularly care for his voice, and I think teppei is a good

guitarist, not dustin. I do not however, think they are the greatest songwriters in the

world. What about Dream Theater, Muse, Nine Inch Nails...etc. They aren't all in the

same genre of music but they are amazing bands. This Message Edited On 04.05.06

THIS ALBUM IS THE BEST AFI ALBUM!!!

I'd kind of disagree with The Nephilim being the worst song, I think 6 to 8 is. Frankly I like The Nephilim. All that aside, Wester is the best AFI song

Mick Jones (The Clash) absolutely owns Jade when it comes to punk guitar. So does Steve Jones (Sex Pistols). Steve is massively underatted. It's going a bit far to compare jade to Steve Vai. There completely different. Its like comparing Billie Joe Armstrong to Hendrix, its far to big a gap.

Great Album.

There are many better guitarists than Jade.

Mark for example TOTTALY OWNED JADE AT GUITAR.

Jade is still good though. Hes not very original for his tunings. At least mark tried some Drop D, and D tunings for the third album. If mark was still in AFI, it would still be the same old hardcore afi which I enjoyed.

Decemberunderground in a shame. Practically 75% Jade. -.-''

He hardely plays guitar on the album.

The Art of drowning is a great example of his guitarist skills though. My third favourite album.

Simple 5/5.

yeah dude your absolutly right. I like decemberunderground, but jade doesnt have any guitar, nothing like STS or Drowning.

And about that comparing Jade thing. I wasnt saying he was better, im saying he doesnt have the recognition he deserves for how good he is. I know vai is better, but jade is still great.

and btw, the sexpistols guitarist isnt that great, but mick jones is amazing. his guitar work in Stay free (the clash) is crazy.

I agree with suss11. Noboday really realises how good he is. He isn't phenomonal but awesome. I was kinda dissapointed about Jade not having any solos in the decemberunderground album except for The Killling Lights which is a really cool one. This is my second favorite album. AFI RULES!

There are 2 AFI songs that surpass Days Of The Phoenix: This Celluloid Dream and This Time Imperfect.

I love new AFI. I'm heading backwards with A Fire Inside, I might be getting this, as I really want to hear The Despair Factor once more. But for me, 'Sorrow was there best, and no matter how many more records Mr Havok and the guys are releasing, I stand by it.

I too think that StS is their best one.

Nah, Paper Airplanes (Makeshift Wings), Bleed Black owned. And while im at it, The Great Dissapointment and This Time Imperfect, have some of the best lyrics ive ever heard in my life. Ah heck, all the songs were classics on 'Sorrow!

I like this album, but it's definetly not a 5. This and Black Sails in the Sunset are both equally good, and the only AFI I still listen to, except the odd song from Shut Your Mouth...
But AFI overall are a 3.5 at best.
