I don't think this release renders a 1.5, maybe a confident 2 but it seems more like youre bitching about how bad they got more then anything.

This doesn't deserve negs. Good review, and I thought his summary was clever.

"What happened to the edge that they had on Infest? I wasn't a big fan of that album (or any other ones by them)" you should have put that right at the top of the review as that basically shows straight away what is to follow. If you have never even liked the band then to criticise a sound that was never for you is unfair.
The album isnt as good as infest but to suggest it has no energy or heart is outragous. Your listening to a guy pour his heart into making music that as he's said several times has "saved his life". I thought it was one of the albums of the year because it was incredibly honest and the lyrics were really personal towards Jacoby, and i actually felt the music was brilliant. I also felt the songs wish you never met me and walking dead were a real throwback to the oldschool stuff and were really cool, had they been on the album love hate tragedy i think they'd of been complimented. and felt still swinging and silence is the enemy encorporated their old style and brought it into the modern era. I will agree that engage was a bizzare intro however
