It's the best and if not the best it ties with Don't Break the oath. Melissa is overrated

For starters, you listen to Mercyful Fate records that are not Melissa or DBTO

Secondly, a tag name of 'Donchivo' is nothing short of legendary

Thirdly (is that even a word lol), yeah, the 80's bands

Yeah man, the 90s were my youth.... so I got into many of the old bands thru their 90s albums. Actually there are quite some classical bands with worse track records in the 90s.

Even if this album isn't overall as strong as their first two (including the EP), I still find myself listening to it just as much. It also happens to have a way better production overall, and "Egypt", "The Bell Witch", "A Gruesome Time", and "Is That You, Melissa?" are just as good as some of their "good" (not best) 80s tracks. Hell, I'd rather listen to "Thirteen Invitations" than "Welcome Princes of Hell" any day too.

Don't Break the Oath only has four really killer tracks anyway: "A Dangerous Meeting", "The Oath" (their best song ever), "Gypsy" and "Come to the Sabbath". The rest are simply good to serviceable.

Joey Vera from Fates Warning, Armored Saint etc. in Mercyful Fate, who knew?

Can’t wait to see him in corpsepaint.
