"Ali I'm surprised you didn't rate this higher."
I saw them a few years ago and couldn't decide what I thought of them. I'm still kind of on the fence, but this has some undeniable high points.

Nice review. There are some really great songs on this. The deluxe version comes with all the EPs which is pretty cool.

This is actually a very well balanced review. I can tell you made a serious effort not to overpraise this album. Nice job.

That accent.....
What supposed to be the appeal of this? This is so middle of the road indie pop. Not bad per se. But not good as well. I mean, it's not even really catchy.

Thank god someone has written a review for this so people can share my hate. My roommate has been jamming this band for close to a year now, and is a fan on an obsessive level. I've seen so much internet hype on this album (except for on sputnik which is why it's the best music site). The voice is so goddamn grating I can't do it.

For except 2 or maybe 3 songs, overall it was pretty bland and feels like it tries a bit too hard all the time. Also that voice is unbearable

I feel like this album would be so much better if M.O.N.E.Y. were replaced with You, Talk! replaced with Antichrist, Fallingforyou added after 12, and Pressure replaced with Me. I get that that would mean the majority of the songs would be previously released but You and Antichrist are two of the best songs this band has released and I feel like it would make the album a little less homogeneous.
This album is a personal favorite of mine, but it is very, very homogeneous on the first few listens. The tracks seem to flow into one another and sound exactly the same, it is only on repeated listens that songs like Heart Out and Settle Down become standout tracks. I have mixed feelings about the closer, I don't think it was executed well but I do think it works as a closer.

Heard both Girls and Chocolate recently and came here to see the rating, surprised it's so low. Are those just the highlights of the whole thing?

Wait. What the fuck, which idiot said that... oh...
Chocolate, The City, Girls, Robbers and Sex are all bangers. Could never listen to this album as whole, but the highs are pretty high.
