NITND kicks Dead End Kings ass so hard. Not gonna bother with this. Good review Crysis.

Given this is purely acoustic, I can't even imagine how boring this must be.

Awesome review, Crysis. You could say that the first paragraph kind of sums up your writing style in that it's taken you years but you've finally found the style you were looking for heh.

Nice review. I wish I liked their last album as much as you did. I'm a fan of Night is a New Day. I thought that was their (near) perfect blend

Same here.

Big Katatonia fan but I have no interest in listening to this. I heard one track and that was enough.

I also liked DEK, probably the best album since Viva Emptiness for me. NITND is great, but my problem with that album is the predictable song structures. I think it makes a number of the tracks come off as somewhat similar to one another. For me DEK took that overall sound, integrated the synths a bit more as a full instrument rather than lush soundscapes, and added a number of twists to the song structures.

LFDGD will always be my favorite though, most likely.

Man I didn't realize I was this alone in regards to how much I like Dead End Kings!

It is a good album, but nowhere near its predecessor, for me at least.

Never really checked these guys out, but (since I base a book on its cover) I might start doing it. Art looks sweet.

And since Kyle gave it a 3.5 (and I usually can agree with his ratings) I'm pretty sure I'd like this.

I agree wiuth Nero, start with the actual album first because not only is it better, it will give you an idea of how these guys normally sound.

Wonderful read dude. This sounds like something I shouldn't even bother with and I really enjoyed their last album.

Well all their albums are complete crap so I expect nothing more from this no matter what you say. Good review though
