One of my favorite things in music this year is on this album - the end of "Books On Tape"

song is such a jam, love the stop/starts in the beginning, and the way the drums just explode after it. this band has such a way of reinvigorating old sounds with precision and ferocity.

:] Thus far I only read Post Office. I was wondering whether that Factotum movie with Matt Dillon is any good. Have you seen it?

Audiotree always has killer performances from the bands. It's the greatest way to hear high quality live performances

Agreed! I really enjoy those little interview parts as well. Seems like there's always a great vibe in that studio.

The guy interviewing them was awkward as fuck lol. Usually they sort of break the sessions into two with questions in the middle but this guy just chimmed in between every song or two to ask a really nervously spoken question. Agreed about the vibes though. I would love to go there

Haha I kinda like him. Have you seen some of the other sessions with that bearded guy who's a little older? Wears glasses. He seems pretty laid back =]

Is he the one who always asks at the end "Could I convince you guys to play one more song? I mean, you don't have to but it would be pretty cool"?

i like this much more than their first album, which kind of felt like a bit of a kidcrash knockoff.

i actually liked their debut album but all the songs started to run together, there wasn't much

diversity between tracks i felt. although i went back and listened to it and it's better than i

remember, it's just hard to listen to all the way through.

They're similar to Kidcrash in some ways and yeah, their first was a lot closer to Kidcrash's sound but it had a lot of personality, i liked it.

The last sentence in the review is spot on.
I don't know what it is about this album, but it's so listenable.
