It does drag at parts. Especially the second half

yeah I'm a little iffy on the whole Breaking Bad reference (I actually would've liked it with just the reference in the summary). however, this was still well written, and you describe the album well.

Thanks for the feedback! I see what you're saying and I thought about doing that too, but then thought the reference needed to be explained. I shouldn't underestimate the cultural awareness of Breaking Bad haha

Glad someone reviewed this, I'm actually looking forward to checking all of it out. So far it's a lot easier to listen to than Unmap from what I've heard.

"So far it's a lot easier to listen to than Unmap from what I've heard."
Agreed. I found unmap to be kinda hit or miss. this one flows much nicer.

Unmap was unenjoyable, this is quite the opposite. You can feel and hear all of Justin Vernons
learnings re: Bon Iver, Bon Iver accurately spread throughout this record.

Not sure what this means, but the context sounds positive!

A lot of tracks on Unmap felt like demos. "Still" is an obvious one, it's got those classic vocals (thanks Kanye West), but it sounds like some teenager just started looping random shit after his first listen to Sunn O))).
This album gives off a more polished vibe, more like Bon Iver, Bon Iver - as Douglas kind of said

Yea, you can definitely tell it came after Bon Iver, Bon Iver, which is a good thing.

Sorry, small typo there.
Well, what I mean is that with Unmap, Vernon definitely didn't really have direction with Volcano
Choir at the time as For Emma is really what defined him, and anything different would be
judged as so. Although, Unmap, was too sporadic and inconsistent, it was almost a platform and
practice run for future collabs/creations. Bon Iver, Bon Iver shows that he learnt from
these mistakes and evolve the sound that originally defined his art.
Over thought and probably inaccurate opinion, but alas, that's what I think changed his sound.
EDIT: ZombicidalMan got what I meant ha

No, I completely agree. You can tell his collaboration experience has honed his art after four years since Unmap
