Yeah I wanted to get an early review in for this before it blew up. But I was so confounded when I got to listen to it. I listened through this album maybe 10 times to the point where I knew every word before I reviewed it. Idk some people will absolutely love it and other people will absolutely hate it. Both are okay haha

The weird thing about this to me is the disparity between this and last year's Born and Raised. It

really hasn't been that long since the previous record, and this new album's style is a logical

continuation from its predecessor, yet John sounds totally disinterested here. It's so frustrating.

that katy perry feature is pretty cringey, especially when she giggles at the end

and the fuckin lyrics she sings seem to have no other purpose than massaging jm's ego

song would be way better without her

Actually, I can't agree that Katy Perry sounds out of place on "Who You Love." Knowing who she's singing about makes it cheesier, but I forgot she was featured, and it sounded pretty natural. I do wish, though, that John had some trade-off vocals in the outro. That'd've been nice.
