Pretty sure the Arbitors story gets told in that anime collection they made before 3? Maybe Reach.

halo's really only good for the multi, the solo campaign is just too plodding

Campaign is the only thing in Halo 4 worth a damn.

I love the Halo campaigns, mostly for the story though

It gets hard to rank the soundtracks, as they're all so good. I think Neil Davidge did a fine job with refreshing the score to Halo 4 as well.

Proud to say I've done everyone on Legendary. Halo 4 was an absolute bastard to do on Legendary as well.

A part of me was a little disappointed to hear a lack of the trademark choir though. haha

I never played 4, but the hardest level for me on Halo 1-3 on legendary is Cairo Station. The boarding crafts are ridiculously hard to clear and the room with the bugs is so tedious

Halo 4 was hard enough on Normal mode. Legendary is something else!

amateur hour in here

cairo station = live and die by the noob combo (plasma pistol overcharge + BR) and don't rush out like a dummy and you'll be fine

H4 requires patience but it's not that difficult, outside of Reclaimer, crawler alley, and the 3 or so undistracted binary knights you encounter throughout the whole game. I can flawless cowboy at least half the levels, only other game that's true of for me is CE.

Hardest levels 1-3 are Outskirts (jackal snipers), Regret (more jackal snipers), and Great Journey (banshees. banshees everywhere)

Anyone who says they aren't difficult are full of shit.

Patience is the key, yes, but that's down to it having a difficult spike.

I bet you're one of them people that says they flew through Demon and Dark Souls, too.

Haven't played either.

Halo 4 is not difficult as long as you play with discipline and don't just run around like a chicken with its cut off as many are apt to do. Knowledge is well over half the battle, if you know what you're up against and when, the execution is fairly simple. It's not easy, but compared to Halo 2 and Reach it's nothing.

Use whatever utility weapon (BR, LR, DMR, carbine, pistol) is available for grunts, jackals, crawlers, and watchers. Of these enemies only the crawlers are a real offensive threat, in numbers.

Needler and/or light rifle for elites. Noob combo in a pinch although the plasma pistol is horseshit against infantry. Camo elites tend to run right at you with their sword so if you see them charging, stick them and backtrack. You face like 2 or 3 throughout the whole game so you should be able to prepare for an encounter with one.

Light rifle, rockets, turrets, or forerunner power weapons for knights.

Learn to recognize when knights are about to warp-rush you (they take a stance similar that of a down lineman in football), and side-step since they lock in on that location.

In mixed forerunner battles the watchers always need to be killed first (there are a couple of exceptions), since they shield other forerunners and resurrect dead knights. Then move on to the crawlers... I'd say over half my deaths on legendary are due to crawlers sneaking up on me. Knights go last, since they're usually not that proactive in attacking you unless you piss them off. If they're the only enemy(ies) left on the field it doesn't matter that much if they teleport after you weaken them, since you can pursue without being gangraped by crawlers. UNLESS there's a knight with a binary rifle, in which case he gets priority over everything.

Counter power weapon knights with the same weapon. Incin cannon knights should get blasted by an incin cannon of your own. Binary knights require binary rifles to kill. 3-5 light rifle shots followed 2 binary shots. If you find yourself up against a binary knight without your own binary rifle then you're goodly fucked. These instances are rare enough to where you should be able to prep as long as you know when they occur.

Reclaimer is the exception to the rules because half the mission is sniper based and the other half is vehicle based, so you're forced to always lug around at least one power weapon, which is inconvenient since H4 power weapons are the least flexible in the series and make life hell against alert infantry. Like I said though, it is the toughest level in the game.

Jetpack is your lifeline on Reclaimer and Shutdown, especially the latter.

Hologram is your lifeline on Midnight, to get binary enemies to reveal their location and to scout rooms where you can easily be ambushed. Same thing with PV on Infinity.

Outskirts is easy you can nade jump on the rooftops in the beginning. Sure the snipers are broken but they are easy to pick off and you can even hop the roofs to not even spawn them

Outskirts is tough because the snipers are pretty tucked away (I don't do the rooftops unless I'm speedrunning) and because additional enemies, like sword elites often spawn above you and drop down. The opening area isn't too bad, I'm mainly thinking of that middle section between the hunters and the theater.

If you flew through Regret then you were speedrunning and got extremely lucky. There are groups of snipers EVERYWHERE in that mission. One sniper makes life tough enough, but as many as four of them spawn at once in some spots and they're already wise to your presence. It's a nightmare.

Great Journey's tough mainly because of the banshee section. Enemy banshees take forever to kill and have missiles of death, while your own banshee is made of paper.

now that I think about it the beginning of Regret has alotta hidden snipers across the temples, and in the center area with the hunters under water. But those are just a matter of picking off

Halo 2 was easily the hardest on legendary, It was the cause of about 2 smashed controllers and really high blood pressure at age 12. Martin O'donnell also produced some of the greatest music i've ever heard not just pertinent to video game soundtracks but in general, his a music genius in my opinion.

I've also picked up speedrunning the games on legendary which is actually a ton of fun and pretty competitive, great community. Halo 2 in general is definitely the hardest to run imo

yeah its crazy how fast some people can run through the game when they know all the tricks. Uprising especially can be cut in half from that glitch if i recall correctly

Lol yeah uprising is a joke even on legendary, that glitch where you jump out of the map halfway through cuts out the entire vehicle section in like 20 seconds
