No problem man. Good write-up.
I also don't understand this sentence:
'And even through this moderate reinvention it turns out the vocals, or rather their uncomfortable clashing with the instrumentals, are the downfall of the record'.
Try to rephrase this bit. I don't know what 'it' refers to.

some people try too hard to be verbose and end up with sentences like that

what word in that sentence is possibly too verbose? it's a problem with subject confusion.

Review's well written, though I strongly disagree with the content. Though the tone of the review seems to be "it's worse because it doesn't have catchy choruses." Personally, I find is focus on overall composition and melody structure to be more appealing than the "moment-centric" focus of TITW. In place of catchy choruses are more off-beat and interwoven melodies, which I find both more interesting and more lasting.

my disagreement comes down to the fact that I don't think the rest of the melodies are all that
strong. it feels to me like TITW without the catchiness. that disconnect is the core of my point,
not that they are missing, but that there isn't enough else to pull away from that fact.
of course this is all my opinion and whatnot so i can respect if you disagree with that assessment.

I don't get the negs seriously. This is a good review that brings up valuable points. Whether you agree or not is irrelevant.

Not always true! I did a 3/5 review on the new Asking Alexandria and got 20/20 approval. Sure I was surprised haha but it can happen if Sputnik is in the right mood.
