It really is. Sweeping statement I know, but it's probably the best drunk late night/hangover record ever recorded.
@ Zak, 'The Copper Top' and 'The Greatest Story Ever Told' are both among my songs of the decade so far. I actually know someone who had the latter read at his wedding, such a beautiful lyric.

A very special record for some very special times. Instantly recognisible Scottish mumbling over some bittersweet laid back instrumentation that sometimes swells and builds only to fade out again - it's quite bloody brilliant in it's own intimate way.
Relistened to it today, found that "Soaps" has a lot in common with Nick Cave's "The Boatman's Call" material.
