Yeah its not by any means a bad track but ive always felt that this album and diamond eyes both lacked a strong opening and closing track compared to the ones in their previous efforts.

Deftones have the same effect on me as Tool does. I really want to like them and I can get why people love them.. but I just get so bored with them after 15 seconds of any song.

meh, it's a colloquialism, the meanings can vary. though where i'm from, it would imply that the
compliments you're paying to the album are deceptively insincere.

Not at all. It means, it's good to actually see someone on this site give some decent criticism for this album, because it is painfully bigged up on this site.
I'm a fairly big fan of these guys but this album definitely isn't what everyone talks about.
