Well on this album a 5 means a classic and I don't see how you can argue this album is anything but a classic. I mean the fact that it's still recognizable by practically every music fan, despite genre, today should tell you something about just how incrediblely important this album was. Was it there best work? Not in my opinion, no. That doesn't take away from how incredible and important this album was though.

Not to me. This is the worst Ozzy related album I have figured out recently.

Great album, I like Paranoid, S/T and Master Of Reality pretty much equally myself.

Faires Wear Boots is a cracker.

Easily the best Sabbath album "Iron man" is the greatest metal song ever! (Paranoid isn't bad either) The only fault I can find with this one is its short playing time. otherwise its a masterpiece and a piller for metal!

Eh, I'd say it's close. I can't stand 'Planet Caravan'.

My favorite is easily 'Master of Reality'.

This album is one of the most influential albums of one of the most Influential bands of the 20th century. If we were to sit here and name all of the bands that were influnced by Black Sabbath (which would be impossible because their are many that have not made it yet and many more to come) we could easily have filled a novel. If you can't love this albumI just can't love you...This Message Edited On 07.31.06

I love it when people assume that if someone doesn't like an album, they "just don't get it".

The first two tracks are ace but everything else

What about 'Faires Wear Boots'? That might be my all-time favorite BS song.

I understand, but looking at it you have to wonder.
