Yeah, the field recordings in half of the tracks are a little too indulgent sometimes, but man is this album fantastic. POS'd.

"First of all, the album runs the gamut from progressive rock to other styles like"

You could for sure delete "First of all" from that sentence, no?

Thanks I wish you didn't hate them!

I could delete it yeah, but the sentence before it does justify it being there.

Everything I've ever heard off this album makes me want to jam my thumbs in my eyes until my ears somehow stop working

But I cant say "Oh what a terrible album" cause alot of people do really like it, it's gotten pretty good reviews, and it sold very well (123K first week whaaat).

I guess I could understand hating Cedric's vocals and the worthless wankery crap but I don't see how anyone could really *hate* the instrumentals

Well, I like At the Drive In.

Never really listened to Mars Volta for their lyrics. But I do love Cedric's vocals. Plus both bands are excellent.

Ced's vocals really hit their prime on the first two TMV albums. From there on, they slowly got more annoying with each album.
