tbh no hate, it's still a good album, it's just nothing particularly special.
idk what messages you think he has that are insane; most songs are about how he wants to fuck. his flow's not bad and his lyrics are admittedly usually pretty good on this album, but it's just too bleh of an album
i feel like i'm just restating everything i wrote in the review but i mean yeah that's all there really is to say about it. i can understand people giving it 3.5s and 4s for sure though

Yeah I'm not even a j. Cole fan. I'm a hip hop fan and this was the first LP I've heard from his discography. If you watch some reviews on YouTube the messages of his songs become a little more transparent.

but good review dude. and yes, j.cole has been boring to me since his debut. i liked cole world the
first time i heard it, but the more i replayed it, the more it's abundant repetitiveness and flaws
became obvious.
