Last 4 TMV albums were bad since Cedrics voice sounded like a pixie, good they broke up so they could stop tarnishing their reputation.

Good catch.

People be hatin' because of their expectations instead of judging it on it's own merits. I mean listen to how warm and crisp and lush all these sounds are, way better then the shitastic production of TMV's past couple albums. I mean noctorniquiets (sp?) production was centipede HZ level. Not crisp, not lush, not warm, just muddied and bad. Also it had that awful room sound that doesn't make any sense in a record that's trying to be psychedelic and spacey.

Totally the wrong angle for this review. It's well written but useless. Who cares about

I believe most people spinning this album will have listened to both TMV and ATDI and have that in the back of their mind whilst listening to this. So it's not exactly that irrelevant imo.

I like reading threads from earlier in the year/years and seeing people say stuff like Cyg...and then have their updated rating oppose their comment haha

I listened to this album on Youtube without having any idea what other projects the band members were previously in, and I honestly found it quite refreshing. Overall I love it.

This IS VERY GOOD! They are live at this point way better than TMV.

Just look at Teri. There was never such a front-woman before. She is in the human spirit of a funkadelic-free-your-mind do-whatever-you-want as long as it is working with the music being. The music is also just created very naturlly, everything falling into place. Everybodys here a superb musicians and the mastermind of omar spitting bonfire controlling it like a mad scientist more as songwise as bandpolitically spoken.

I am so thrilled of Teri, John Frusciante, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Nicole Turleys and Dante and Laenas Side-Project thats coming out early March 2014 called KIMONO CULT-HIDING THE LIGHT: http://neuroticyellrecords.bandcamp.com/album/hiding-in-the-light

Never seen TMV live before, but these guys are so wild and uncontrolled live in the right way.
