this band frustrates me so much because i -know- there is something really beautiful and nostalgic and totally Me about their aesthetic (sorta like in a way they were doing that "vaporwave" shit before anyone else) but for some reason i just can't get excited by it when i'm listening to it
gimme a few years

boards of canada definitely have that nostalgic appeal to their music, but i'd say much more so their older albums than this. music has the right is miles ahead of this - even the album this emulates most (campfire headphase) is a lot more grandiose and prettier (dayvan cowboy, peacock tail)
listening to this again now, but this isn't at all what i look for in boc's music.

yeah
honestly this doesn't make me feel like geogaddi did at all
|

Album Rating: 5.0
it's sorta a hybrid of the two I'd say but I get stronger Geo vibes than TCH ones

Album Rating: 2.5
I haven't heard TCH but this certainly doesn't have the elements I loved about Geogaddi. Not many anyway.

even the album this emulates most (campfire headphase)
of their entire discog this sounds less like campfire than pretty much anything else
