God, don't you hate it when you're trying to download some James LaBrie songs, and all your P2P search engine will throw back is a whole bunch of James Blunt?
There's a slight possibility that this problem could be unique to me.

I don't think I've ever a detested an artist more in my life. My girlfriend says his voice is like marmite. Last time i checked marmite doesn't wail at you like a wounded animal.

What's a marmite? I'm intrigued.

I don't understand why everyone hates him so much. I mean sure his songs are overplayed on TV and whatnot but they aren't that bad.

^^ They really are uber bad, his voice is very feeble and shaky. His music is dull and consists of the same chords. The songs are all very simple verse, chorus, verse structure. This shows an inability to be adventurous with music. It also shows a lack of knowledge.

and.......you contradict yourself too much. You clearly state that 'This is my favorite song on the CD'. The for another track you say 'THE BEST SONG ON THE CD HANDS DOWN', implying that you think its the best song on the album.... I could go on...

My gosh....what vicious people you'll sound like. Maybe the review isn't fantastic but everyone is entitled to their own opinions on the music.....so for heavens sake don't persecute the musician!

I don't understand why you can't be a fan of two completely different genre's of music.....I myself love all kinds of music, for me it's the artists way of pouring a bit of himself out to the world. It isn't to please every single one of you that he sang these songs, and I don't think being snipy and sarky about him is going to do any good.

Have your own opinions, like what you do and dislike whatever you wish to as well, no one can force music down anyone's throat, and I know that a lot of music isn't to everyone's liking. I don't quite know why I'm writing this, I hate critics. I believe the basis of critiscism is not to (please note) either praise or trash the musician. It's to review his work not to push it down into the pits of hell or to raise it high up into the clouds or put it up on a pedastel. It's music. It's supposed to be a delightful experience, a wonderful solace away from things, like books, like art, like cinema and theatre. It's a creative pursuit that you might like or dislike. Just don't be so hateful. Because people make a lot of effort doing what they do, it takes time and hard work and perseverence. To completely trash it is just so lowly.

Dislike it if you must, correct the review if you must. Just don't question a person's music taste, don't be so cruel with your comments, everyone has feelings. Be practical if you must with your review, and don't say you like it if you don't....but remember opinions differ. And opinions are neither right nor wrong, ever. Music is a free form of expression as most art forms are....respect that. Don't be so quick to throw someone's pursuits into the reject bins. And don't expect other people to agree with you and your opninion, dont expect it to be right.

Respect music as it is. Like it or not, it's out there because someone thought it deserved to be. It doesn't matter if you don't.
