Great job on the review. One of the more interesting ones I've read. I actually like the album. Definitely not one of Megadeth's best, but still enjoyable...although it took a few listens for it to grow. I like how it's more hard rock-ish than thrash. It's a bit of fresh air as opposed to churning out more mediocre metal songs that were on Thirteen. I'm hoping for better albums in the future, but this one was decent enough.

As a megadeth fan there are only 2 works of this band that I found mediocre, lazy and uninspired. This one and Risk, not even kingmaker can improve the score of this LP. Some of the experiments like bluegrass shit they tried to make in some tracks were poorly executed, unecessary and forced, instrumentation is far worse than in the past album ( That's a shame cuz this band has excellent musicians) and the vocal work of Mustaine lacks of any sort of intensity here ( He wasn't the most talented vocalist in metal but he had passion and intensity), in this work he seems bored and tired.

I sort of liked "Beginning of Sorrow" and bits of "Forget to Remember". Rest was crap, especially Burn!. Mostly it's full of just unbearable songs
