Very impressed with this album. It's a nice take on their classic sound. Since they invented the wheel, I can't hold it against them for revisiting it. It's crazy that Iommi is still cranking out riffs that are this heavy and evil. I also love Planet Caravan 2.0. Great soloing.

I never doubt Ozzy and his vocals, love him.

The only problem with the album in my opinion are Ozzy's vocals... they sound even worse than normally do..., instrumentally and lyrically speaking, as good as the ol' days

this is recapturing the glory days in that it's basically an inferior copy with shitty rick rubin production

i want to like it, i really do, but the riffs have lost that special something
i'll take the easy way out and blame rubin

i agree with you for the most part, but there are some good riffs here as well as some nice solos...and ozzy sounds good with all the editing they did!!!!
65 years old and still jamming some heavy metal, you have to grade it with a curve.

There is a sorrow in the album that's hard to shake, with tony being sick (and even the passing of the late Ronnie james dio) and the ever growing age of the band. When I heard that BS were going into the studio I first thought it was going to be just another bullshit grasp at cash that the last few ozzy solo albums seemed to be; What I heard was more of a goodbye as a collective from a band with members that seemed to out live the demons that should have killed them years ago.
