"Intensity doesn't really sound like intensity when you become adjusted to it and it's the total lack of variation in this album that kills its momentum and makes it seem twice the length it actually is."

English's not my first language but I don't see any problems with this sentence

Good review, but I don't agree. This actually is the best bm I've heard this year..

me either other than it overstating the point, which alone warrants it to be changed

xvision have you heard altar of plagues, rorcal or vit's new ep?

re: that sentence

it just sounds a bit nonsensical and redundant when worded that way
I remember trying to make that same argument in a review before though and having lots of trouble cuz I know what you mean but it's hard to say

see which suits you best:

rorcal: thick, pummeling wall of sound black metal with a small helping of sludge. really fucking heavy.

altar of plagues: post-black metal with electronics with shorter and more direct songs. dark and interesting.

vit: black/doom metal with a bit of bluegrass/american folk music added to the mix. really cool ep.

just choose the one that best suits your mood, all rule

Just about every track on this album (except the interludes) is constant blastbeats for about 90% of the

runtime

not even true

roads to judah maybe......i'd say this is less than 50% blastbeats.

Rorcal is also a bit doomy. It goes between slower sections and blasting walls of death.

Also: Paysage, Hope Drone, Fauna.

As someone who grew up on metal, namely black metal, this is average as fuck. But has some nice riffs

here and there. Decent review, although the summary bugs me.

^ what you said. I really, really enjoy this for what it makes me feel, and I don't focus on the fact that it's categorized as bm. I just close my eyes and let the music invade my soul.
