Made a profile just to comment on this album. Probably will do the same for The Egg. I think I prefer The Egg but both are so good it's crazy. This band reminds me of Tool / A Perfect Circle, they are that good

The Egg slaps too. I’d take Lula over it any day though. Situationist to Christ then Housewife is one of if not my favorite opening of any alternative rock/post hardcore album

Lula Divinia has definitely grown on me in recent weeks. It's kind of funny how it worked out- at first I didn't care for it (or Shiner in general) at all (Lula Divinia was my introduction to them), then I tried again after some weeks and dug the 1st track (The Situationist)... then the 1st half of the album started to grow on me... then I liked the entire album but still preferred the first half... and now these days I might prefer the second half of the album if anything, but really I just love the entire thing, it's so consistent. The bonus tracks are amazing too.
I remember reading someone's review of "The Egg" and I think the sentiment they expressed applies to this album too- their music seems like it has been there all along somehow, but never had an intermediary... enter Shiner.
I have a specific taste and a bias in music, sure, but for the life of me, I can't fathom how this band could be this far under the radar.
