This is more or less what BSSM was for me @benkim. As a whole the album has got a great feel, but some tracks are far better than others, as opposed to every track being equally and evenly outstanding.

Imo, there are some Chili albums that are better than this overall. True there are some fantastic tracks on this, but as a whole, I'd prefer One Hot Minute which, by the way, gets no respect.

With regards to my rating, to put things into perspective I'd rate 'By the Way' and 'Californication' higher. BSSM is fantastic, but I do not consider it on par with 'By the Way' for instance. An album has to be truly stunning to be awarded with a 5.0 in my book.
