Well tbh they haven't had a good drum mix since To Die For but w/e. Good album but I wish they'd go crazier with the experimentation.

I honestly think the Black Heksen Rise EP set my sights a bit too high. I mean the two main songs on that album are nearly Those Who Fear Tomorrow quality and I was kind of hoping that the LP would be of the same level. That and the fact that I'd heard some of these songs last year in demo format on that Detonate World Plagues EP took some of the wind out of it for me. Still I believe these guys have got another Those Who Fear... In them if they can get the consistency down.

this is almost ftwft level for me

"metallic hardcore is how i'd describe these guys too"
metallic hardcore is pretty much just another term for metalcore.
"first song made me think they were just settling into the trash talk realm of boringcore but the rest of the album really picks up"
yeah, that's how it was with me. That first track is very deceiving

their debut is amazing, and i despise metalcore. they are trve metalcore
|

am i the only one who likes the t/t?

These guys are first wave metalcore, yeah. They helped pioneer the scene with bands like Starkweather, Earth Crisis and Ringworm, etc. And the title track is good, but it's a bit generic and the riff is just average. Enjoyable, but a let down. The rest lives up though.

they will never top the masterpiece that is descent into... darkness

the part in t/t until the 1 minute mark is so good
