"Lyrically, the most impeccable outing in the past decade. "

But it is lyrically their worst album since Sad Songs?

You said it would be painless,

a needle in a doll.

You said it would be painless,

it wasn't that at all.

I have only two emotions:

Careful fear and dead devotion

I might have heard the name a few times, but never checked them out. I will, because I really like them so far.

Woops, was meant to say 'Slipped' instead or 'Swallow.' Pardon me.

Man, Slipped's lyrics kill me. "I won't need any help to be lonely when you leave me."

Cheers, I almost did a Bjork one myself.

Pink Rabbits is probably my favourite National song to date, competing with 'City Middle' on Alligator

to be honest it's really not that stellar compared to the last four. there's no reason to decide to listen to this over them other than the fact that this one is the newest

It plays a lot differently than the previous 3, that's for sure. I can't force you to listen to the album more, but it's definitely a grower. It's a more personal-type album.
