post punk is an ugly word, sure, but I don't know if joy division should be considered the end all be all of what defines post punk. joy division seemed to take post punk into a much darker direction.

Liked the album all right enough. Started great and ended fantastically. The middle though felt hit or miss. Didn't care for Waiting For A Sign at all. Might change after a few more spins though. Though after listening to this I immediately wanted to put on Wire's new album, which I found better than this, or Pink Flag.
