This is definitely my favourite Katatonia album. To me, its just perfect. It gives off this sort of hypnotic atmosphere and just draws me into every second of it. Jonas has never sounded better in my opinion, there are some amazing harmonies thrown in. It seems like Katatonia have taken advantage of the sound they had on songs like Complicity from Viva Emptiness and expanded on it, a more progressive feel perhaps?
Anyways, amazing album. Good review too.

The only thing I don't like about this is there's not enough variation. After a while, the songs start to blend together. However, this is probably some of the best work that Katatonia has put out.

for anybody thats a fan of newer Katatonia i highly suggest this band The Foreshadowing. their album Days of Nothing is really good. theyre a gothic band but you can hear a doom influence with the riffs. their vocals dont sound like Katatonia's but they have similar style
