I think that it's safe at a 4 for for me, but yeah still very good.

Seriously flawed, imo. Best songs are "I Put A Spell On You" and "Suzie Q". The rest of the album is nothing special. The songwriting (where it is theirs) is mostly average (although "Working Man" and "Walk On The Water" are very good compositions), while the cover "99 1/2" is equally a throaway composition. What raises the record from the 3 rating it would normally have is the great guitar playing and generally interesting sound of the group, as well as a few solid riffs on the originals. Very good release, but not anything to get particularly excited about; one of the cases where I agree with the original critical consensus of an album/band.

Nah man The Working Man and Gloomy re deff the best, how can you not love the jam and tone of Gloomy? It's so haunting.

Gloomy as a song isn't anything special, imo (or original; riff and melody are slight reworks of "Spoonful"), the working man is actually excellent (I corrected my earlier post; totally forgot about that and the closer!). In general, the whole feel of the album is great, the playing is great, but the half of the songs here are average while the rest are excellent.
