Great album. I think it's their best. My only issue with it, was the way it ended. Three 6 minute songs that sound a bit similar made the end feel longer than it should've. The album built itself up too, and the end was just a bit weak. Those 6 minute songs should've been spread out more.



Other than that, no complaints.



Can't believe people don't hear Maynard in this o.0



I'm an avid listener of all three (don't forget APC) and there's no denying. In "El Empe" he sounds like Maynard in the breakdown. Parts of Eidolon Alpha and Omega as well. The two vocalists are also very unique though and different in several ways.

sweet mongi, just read the rework... nice job, always love reading what you have to say. here's a grammatical mistake I noticed:

this is most definitely not the sentence you intended to write.



secondly, I think you'd benefit a lot from shortening you sentences. I don't mean to skimp out on conveying long messages, but phrases like:



"The thing that seems to always turn people off of this album never fails to be the production."



come off as "garbled" (is that a word lol?). the message you are trying to get across is simple and very accurate, ie "the production on eidolon bothers some people" but by adding the phrase 'the thing that seems to always turn people off of this album never fails to be..." seems like a very convoluted way of saying the same thing just for the sake of spicing up your sentence. my tip would be do not try and over-embellish sentences, its like adding too much spice to your dish. it becomes noticeable in the first paragraph



otherwise great review man and I understand that you were constrained by the template you laid down when writing this many moons ago so props for taking the time to go back and update it

lighten up a bit. Yea I didn't really try to perfect it honestly. If I did I would have scraped the whole thing and we wrote it
