I strongly disagree. I really don't see anything wrong with will's first solo album and the first two Black Eyed Peas albums. It's damn good jazz rap in my opinion. Hell, even Songs About Girls has some pretty forward-thinking production for the urban R&B scene.

ugh, this review is so maddeningly frustrating. i love the confident tone the writer takes with his/her audience, but the ideas aren't fleshed out, and some of the ideas are worth discussing.
Seriously... what did everyone expect? This is will.i.am, not Beethoven.
this is a good retort to anyone who said this was 'disappointing' or whatever, but it doesn't hold up when actually examining the album. i don't need to expect anything from this to think it's bad. in fact, my expectations were non-existent.
i'd definitely love to see what you could do if you expanded this by a paragraph or two.
