What Nagrarok said, basically.

On another note, great and informative review.

I'll probably skip this. Like to remember Geoff Tate in his prime.

Pretty good review.

The album cover turned me off before I even thought about listening to the music.

Yeah, this album cover was such a mature move.

I'm a big fan of their first 4, and the debut EP is great as well (some of the later stuff is good too). But I might want to put this off for a long while.

On another note, Megadeth's new single isn't too hot either (taking for granted the review score without having heard this). Rush is prob one of the few old-school bands worth hearing. And maybe Testament.

(Old-school meeaning "as in having started a career in the 70's or 80's")

As much as I like talking to Willie about music, I'll be avoiding this.

Maybe there will be an album we can talk about in a couple years or something.

Really great review. I might still look into it just to see for myself. I'm not expecting my opinion to be any different though, I doubted this would be all that great.

lol the amount of hate for this album is amusing. This quote in particular:
"I would give a negative rating to this"

Probs not going to be checking this out. Still have a few other QR records to hear.

^The first 4 LPs and the debut EP are the essentials. Though I think that Promised Land and Hear in the Now Frontier are quite good, but have a different style.

American Soldier is decent as well. And Tribe has some good songs.

Q2K is rather meh, and the other 2 suck hard.

i'll borrow empire off a mate soon. Only album i've really heard is mindcrime, which is all kinds of megaincredible.

Wow everyone's hating this!

Is this really so bad? I didn't have a chance to check it out yet.

Why on earth would he make a "heavy" album, when with queensryche he insisted that they played music that was as far from metal as possible???

May be more guests then Korn, but is it more than Soulfly? THAT's something to brag about.

This deadline is also the reason they brought in more guest musicians than the entire Korn discography

Ouch. Well put though :D
