For Swans there are so many places you could start. You could start with Filth, you could look into their more layered edge with The Great Annihilator, or you could try their more experimental side with Soundtracks for the Blind. I also found the Seer to be one of their most accessible despite its length and intensity. You honestly can't go wrong anywhere. Children of God's a great starting point too!
