i am surprised at all the positive comments here, i honestly don't know a single person who likes this record or doesn't think this is TITD's worst. I even talked to the guys who ran Relapse back in the day, and they weren't even all that stoked to release or promote it.

This thing is fucking exhausting but I heard it a couple times in the past month and I love it so much. The Descent, Sadness Will Prevail, and the Ivory of Self-Hate are some gems. Really wasn't expecting all the experimental sound collages and world music influences that show up, but it was a fantastic surprise. Really glad Today is the Day could make this extreme music that veered so far off the beaten path even though they aren't really as good, these days.
