I actually found the album to be fantastic - It really depends on the perspective you look at it from... I thought it was going to continue off from the "have a nice day", "the circle" angle, and was happy to hear some different ideas ("The Fighter", "Amen" and "Because We Can") that show that these guys are being true to themselves. Of course, not everyone will agree, but I think it will become an underrated album indeed, because people expect them to still be writing the same stuff as they did in 1986

expand further thought upon or flesh out.
