bro this review is so dense that it takes like 49 full reads to really get you know what I mean?

I didn't know this was P.S Eliot related! OBTAINED ASAP
Great review too but i think the Mountain Goats link is a little bit tenuous, i get they're one of your favourite bands but the name-dropping feels a bit superfluous here. NITPICKING.

The Mountain Goats namedrops were justified if you've heard Katie's first record and John's pre-Tallahassee ones.

This review is very good, though. I'll point out some minor constructive criticisms for you, as I think you'd appreciate it.
"American Weekend, (which was released just last year)"
You can just say "2012's American Weekend" here. I understand that you want to emphasize the lack of time between that release and this one, but you touch on this later. =]
"These are far from negatives though, in fact, many of these techniques or habits became early trademarks of her sound."
Dis be a run-on, so I'd change the comma after though to a semi-colon.
"it is clear that she has added to her arsenal"
This does read a bit awkwardly to me, so I'd say to change it to "It's clear Churchfield has added to her arsenal."
"For the most part, like its predecessor, this album is a simple folk record, and the focus should be less on the instrumentation and how complex it may or may not be, and more on the lyrical themes of the album."
This is a long sentence, so you should find a way to split it up.

"Katie Churchfield tells her stories. They’re simple stories mainly, about lovers had and lost, about memories now fading. And really, on the whole, that’s what this album boils down to: it’s kind of simple. That word usually carries a negative connotation, but I use it in the most positive way possible. She doesn’t bother with frills, musical or lyrical, she gets to the point. And, occasionally, she’ll break your heart in the process. The emotion of this album almost jumps through the speakers – something about everything about this album just feels so real, so human and personal."
This paragraph is so good. It has the conversationalist tone a lot of Robin's reviews have, which is something I've always been envious of. =] However, the next paragraph, while well-written, feels very disconnected from this. Try to work on connecting them more vividly.
