Solace is a pretty cool tune but i find this band unlistenable in the general.

From your review i recon its like their other albums. Very interesting and meaty, and very solid, but
not ground breaking.

Creature's still their best

If invade bored me to tears, would I dig this?
|

"For sure. I like both bands but WTR would destroy them."
You guys kidding, just cause they play a few quick stop and go classical infulenced melodies does not make them more tech or "proggier" than The Contortionist. I mean they dont wank shred but there music is much more intricate.

The Contortionist are way more prog. These WTR are more on the technical side.
But i can see where the Exoplanet comparison comes from i guess.

Kinda boring album but it has its moments. Good review!

I didn't really like that one song off this I listened to. I'll give this a shot I suppose.

Kinda boring but has its moments [2]
This is a 3, straight up. Not as dynamic or intense has their previous work. The second half of the album feels pretty effortless. A lot of generic chugging, something i did not expect from these guys. Still, has some great moments. It starts off pretty strong.

And agreed, anyone that didnt enjoy their previous work will most likely not mind this.

The vocals bore the hell out of me
|

tough guy vocals

Thought they could've done better on their last album, but they DEFINITELY stepped their game up on this album. I love it m/-_-m/

Yeah climatic, thats the feeling i got too. It felt like i was listening to Emmure sometimes, on the last few tracks. lol
Blowing it out of proportion, but yeah it could have been better. Creatures is better than this. Invasion, probably even better.

I thought for sure you'd dig this Moreira.
|

These guys have always been superficially technical to me. They just play generic deathcore with a bit of noodling to seem different

"I thought for sure you'd dig this Moreira."
Well, i do. But its not as good as their previous efforts.
I'm forced to say that the feeling i have towards this album right now comes kinda close to what curseworship said. At points this album feels a bit effortless. Even Ataxia II doesn't have the presence i expected it to have. Still a good blaze.

I actually havent heard anything else by them aside from a couple songs so i can see this wearing off pretty quick
