I like how much detail you went into about the modern Iron Maiden sound and what makes this specific album different from all the rest, as well as relations between the always dependable lyrical content and its musical portrayal. I disagree with the score because I find a few songs either boring and repetitive or solid but not quite brilliant, by comparison to the outstanding tracks which sit well alongside Maiden classics, and the loudness-warred production is bothersome, but I cannot argue with the quality of this writing. Posvote.

this is one of their worst

This is better than Virtual XI, The X Factor, No Prayer for the Dying and (possibly) Fear of the Dark imo
|
| |
still not very good

It has some great songs. Paschendale and the title track are two of the band's best songs since the classic era.

Amazing album. I'd say it's better than A Matter Of Life And Death and The Final Frontier, though Brave New World is still my favorite post-reunion album.
