How bullshit is it that ATCQ has 2 albums in the top ten?
|
| |
Album Rating: 5.0
Not at all. I mean, they wouldn't be in mine but I can live with it.
edit: I would put Low End Theory in my top 10, but not M.M.

| |
If I ever get there I can't wait to really try to engage with atcq. Never been the hugest fan but there's something there

You should check out the "Beats, Rhymes and Life" documetary. It's really awesome and it's interesting even if you're not a big fan

this is a good review, saying this as having never heard or heard of this album
i feel once you get to the albums/artists that everyone has discussed about endlessly this like
project will die off. nice to see you writing tho
|
| |
most inaccurate rating ive seen in awhile. thanks.

Tbh I think you should spend more time on albums before reviewing them. I know that you have a huge
task ahead of you and you want to stay consistent and pump out reviews but nobody's forcing you to
do one a day or even finish everything within a year. A lot of albums take time to sink in; time
away from the album for it to make more of an impression on you. Below the Heavens isn't the most
accessible hip hop album so for you to put out a review the same day that you first heard it says to
me that you perhaps haven't worked on the listening part of the review enough (I would say this even
if you had given it a glowing review).
It's one thing to write 100 reviews (well written as it may be), and another to write 100 meaningful
reviews that paint an accurate picture of the listening experience. If you really want to plow
through reviews you can always also cycle through albums every day and stagger your reviews. Just my
two cents.

shut up u piece of shit
|
| |
also it doesnt matter but i would honestly say this is one of the most "accessible" hip hop albums im likely to listen to in this whole thing
|
| |
does that have a bearing on how accessible it is or are u just sorta saying things
|
| |
shoud i put a disclaimer at the top
|
| |
well, to be fair, i've heard this album 2-3 times, does that mean i shouldn't rate it? i don't think it's one of those albums you have to take a long time with.
|
| |
but u started ur second post with "ya u were" which denotes soem sort ofresponse unless you were just
talking to urself?? like bro cmon dont play me like this
|
| |
this si dumb idk why im even playing along, when did we establish that i "only half listened to this
album"
my so-called questions about it yesterday were in the face of reviewing it and were more like "guys
this album isnt very good someone tell me why its good", i have been aware of this album's existence
for a logn time and have listened to it before, although i admit not in a long time
either way ive listened to this album enough times to formulate an opinion on it and i put that
opinion into
words which you apparently dont have enough of a problem with to reference specifically
plus this kind of dumb shit involves some arbitrary line-drawing--like, how many times must i listen
to this album in order to be Well Equipped to review it for a site that isnt even paying me or
getting published mainstream or some shti like that--that i dont think u really want to engage with

no york >
|

not to mention i don't think this album requires a huge deal of assessment.
|
| |
sniper: yeah, no york is a lot better.
|
