Woah, your author name is the exact same as mine. 0_o
But anyways, very nicely done. I'm kinda scared to give this a spin because I love Red but the few tracks I heard were so meh. I guess if there are a couple tracks that are great additions to the discography then it can't be all for naught.

If We Only, Glass House, As You Go definitely old RED, Glass House being the best track by far on the album.

Where I differ from most of you guys is that I loved Damage, dk why exactly, but to me, that chorus hit fucking hard.

If this album had strings on all the tracks, I honestly think it would've been phenomenal. Still a pleasant surprise for me anyway given that I heard the previews a while back and thought it sounded shitty.

I agree for the most part. As You Go is easily the best track. A shame it's only on the deluxe edition. If We Only and Glass House are really good. I like Damage, and Perfect Life isn't too bad. Otherwise, this album is just awful and a terrible disappointment, even for my lowered expectations.

Anyone seen the music video for Release the Panic though? Still a dumb song, but the video is pretty crazy.

I dont think the strings were what made them unique so much as their unique vocal melodies and excellent screams. Now they've abandoned those for cut and paste 'verse chorus verse chorus bridge chorus' songs.

If Red makes music for God then why is it so gay????

Pretty damn boring. Any strings you happen to hear on the album are so buried under the other instruments that it's almost not even worth them being there. While the strings used to be the driving force behind Red's music, they've increasingly been shoved into the corner, where they silently twiddle their thumbs while the rest of the band makes an ass out of itself.

oh shit, thanks for the feature!

I think the real question is whether this wouldve been better if there were strings throughout, given the same songs besides. It's a possibility, but definitely not up to I&I.

So their first two albums are good, but the rest sucks?

"could not finish listening after die for you. that riff was nice though."

Try the last three songs, they're more classic Red, so to speak.

"So their first two albums are good, but the rest sucks?"

It's above-average mainstream rock, take it or leave it. End of Silence (their debut) is Linkin Park worship but not bad. I&I has a more original sound (key word: more) and is regarded as their best

not seeing what everyone likes about glass house, i thought "hold me now" was decent even if it has the most generic title ever

"Die For You" is just awful. What is that "EEEYIEEEEM GANNA CHAYNG" thing before the last chorus

The new video is indeed pretty great.

Ecnalzen, I'd say the first three are pretty good. UWHF is a grower, in my opinion.

the first half of UWHF is up to par. it's all downhill from there.

Never liked this band and I know these past 2 releases are not going to help their case.

The second half of this is actually pretty decent. The first half is as bad as I expected.

Big RED fan here. You share many feelings that I do with this one. With I&I as one of my favorite albums EVER, strings-less RED feels odd. The vocals shined and sometimes the electronics were fitting, but I do miss the strings.

Very experimental album, but I won't criticize them for it. I have I&I and EoS for that classic sound, and now this one for a change of pace. I didn't love UWHF, but this seems a step up from it.

Yup. That's exactly what I thought from the previews. Did you hear the bonus track As You Go? One of the best here
