The answer is no. I'm only reviewing stoner rock this year. And seriously, I think it's better than every stoner rock album I heard last year, perhaps with the exception of Torche's Harmonicraft.

Lava is a pretty good song. Again just nothing I havent heard from basically every other decent post Kyuss stoner rock band.

Yeah. I'm the one. You need to check out this one dude. It goes so well with Harmonicraft. Awesome combo!
I dig Lava just fine, but it's not my favorite track on here. But frankly, I have no idea what the best song on this is. Stay A Little Longer is a perfect closer... so, it may be this one.
And when it comes to "what distinguishes these guys from other bands like that?" type of question, my answer is "hooks".

1. Why does this matter? People dig different things.
2. If you've heard this kind of music 100 times and don't want to hear it again, it'd be a good idea to not read stoner rock reviews.

I was kinda bummed that my Ex Friends review didn't get featured and I'm kinda tempted to request one since the album deserves more attention. But honestly you're one of the best and most consistent writers on the contrib list and you'd do great as staff.
