I liked New Plastic Ideas better until I gave this album a hard listen and while NPI is fantastic I think it has a few weaker moments compared to this. Envelope is one of my fav Unwound songs of all times though so it is hard to compare.

A fair bit of a random comment, but after hearing about this album and not knowing what all the fuss was about and I started reading all the Sputnik reviews, after noticing they were all 5s I was suprised but even more so when I read this. I love this review, not just because it flows well, but because you have managed to explain the album and the massive emotional impact it has since placed on you. Since reading the reviews I have listened to half the album one night but couldn't quite get into it. I'm still however, going to listen to it until one day, it will grow on me and perhaps get the emotional responce that so many other people have had upon listening to this.

Probably a little too enthustastic, but I find this album very hard to get into, much like it is for a lot of people I guess, I just hope one day I'll eventually be as praiseful as everyone else is towards this album.

No problem, listened to it as a whole last night, I liked a few songs and lyrics are pretty good, don't have much else to say right now though.
