Keep in mind that i didnt call this shit, i in fact think its a great lisyen (see my rating) but its far from the best album of 2012 and the albums i mention in the review are either older or newer dependimg on the context.

3.5 is an undeserved average rating imho.Plus because the genre is not hot at the moment it would pass as such and it is unfair.In time it will stand out probably after the "what's cool now" frenzy will disappear.Everyone just want it on the spot, here and now, but in art -the sincere art at least - it doesn't work that way and one has to have a great deal of responsibility when reviewing someone's creation because those who make it matter anytime.Everyone has to have an opinion but it must be well build to actually be validated.As for the top of 2012 except releases from Gojira, Meshuggah, Katatonia, Rush or The Devin Townsend Project i don't really see what others can stand out especially from the originality standpoint.

Bottom line: the review is well written from the literary side - as a bird-eye view - but not so well on the musical part.There are other things about this record that makes it good in my opinion beside some hooks and rhythms that are evident.
