Love this debut, but I loved the stuff from "Caves" too. Anyone know if Jacob from the original lineup has another band cause i liked his vocals.

Nope jacob kinda split for school and hasn't had much activity in the music scene since. As far as I know anyway.
As for this record... well there are some really good tracks, and a couple filler tracks which I generally just skip right by. Been a fan of theirs since I heard caves, so I think I know my elitist decently well. Their new EP sounds like it will be pretty strong, and possibly the farthest boundary pushing they've done in terms of song writing and instrumental style.

eh, it doesnt suck but it's not elitist.
they should've changed their name. if you listen really carefully to the guitar you can still hear julians strong guitarwork. it's just taken more of a background to the vocals. which does suck a bit, since their instrumentals were the strongest part about them.
nonetheless saying it sucks is a bit harsh. again, to re-iterate, they really should've changed the name...

Yea its harsh but honestly, I listened to the album TWICE and zoned out. Nothing caught my attention. I never thought I'd say that about an Elitist project, since I've always liked these guys. Not even Julien's guitarwork saves it for me.
