A lot of people do prefer the debut, which was a lot more straight forward.

Towards the left periphery of the second paragraph it says:

album
allowing

I thought that was amusing. Great review bro!

You didn't like the dis-jointed alliteration? When i told how to do that it kind of baffled me, still not sure if i'm doing it right. It passively draws a reader in, keeping the flow going.

yea bro your rev. got me really interesting, gonna u-tube some tracks later

Sure thing bro, let me kno how you go : ]

this is growing on me, first track slays despite being something I'd never would have expected from these guys.

Yeah, but that's what most people are missing; they're expecting something roughly like Hatred of Mankind, rather than a completely different working.

This is one of the biggest let downs of 2012 and please don't kid yourself otherwise. But I respect what you have to say here Robert, I just think this sucks a big fat dick (read my soundoff). Gonna go listen to Hatred for Mankind.

This is like Agape all over again but with sludge.

This sounds nothing like that album.

Wiz is right, except I'd say it's THE biggest let down of the year

Shame you guys didnt see this the way I did, all's fair though. But I do see where you guys are coming from with your comparison to hatred of mankind. Maybe our musical likes will match up on another album. Thanks Jay and wiz : )

To be fair, they took a risk and sometimes it's warranted. What they had going was something unique and they flushed it down the can. This lacks the intense ball kicking of Hatred for Mankind and would rather take the listener on a post-metal sludge journey. Make up your damn minds.

Maybe our musical likes will match up on another album. Thanks Jay and wiz : )

They already do, just not with this album.

Its just a drastic change in direction, I'm more a fan of post metal and shit so I don't mind the change so much.

But I can imagine a lot of fans of this band not liking the new sound

I agree with you man I'm a sucker for the atmospheric dredged approach of post metal
