This isn't really an album for people new to Nevermore to pick up. I suggest giving Dreaming Neon Black or This Godless Endeavor a listen.

It is really the mark of their less thrashy music. The three albums before it were pretty basic thrash (which is why I dislike them). DNB brings a lot more to the table.

DNB's concept is pretty awesome too.

never thought I'd like Nevermore (heard a few samples here and there, never really did out for me) but after RYM rec'd this to me I got it on a whim and... wow, I'm really impressed.
Inside four walls is epic as hell, love that song.

Inside Four Walls is actually my least favorite off this cd haha. The River Dragon Has Come and Engines of Hate are my favorites.

At first the vocals really sorta turned me off... but after a while I started to get used to them... it matches their sound perfectly.

This is definitely my favorite album of theirs. As a guitar player I think I tend to enjoy music more guitar-oriented with technical playing (as opposed to passionate dynamic vocals) so to hear an album that has an amazing guitarist like loomis AND has a talented clean singer like dane is rare.
A lot of people seem to have a hard time getting into Nevermore, but this album in particular is a real gem for me.
