''In The Wake Of Poseidon could very well be considered as King Crimson's attempt at recreating all of the experiences found in In The Court Of The Crimson King, but with some modest renovations so as to not appear like they're selling us the same exact album. An invigorating opener, a gentle ballad, an experimental piece, and a lengthy title track, it's all very familiar and even the instrumental aesthetics follow a rather synonymous intent and execution.''

Exactly my thoughts

Is it just me or does the title track sound really similar to Epitaph?

Fantastic review, man. I can see such a difference between your earlier reviews and your most recent ones. This review has a much more personal spin on it; you utilize the first-person really tastefully in the first paragraph. Your descriptions are also more effective as ever because they're so succinct. It makes me proud to see how much you've grown as a writer. You contribute so much to the site already, and that's only going to become more true over time. Props, Hernan. =]

There are a couple of really minor things I noticed throughout the read. First off, your review would be easier to read if you broke the paragraphs up a little bit. This sentence:

By the end of In The Wake Of Poseidon, there's a sense of disappointment that can overcome the listener.

stands on its own well, and could be the introduction to a new paragraph. Similarly, there are a few sentences that would be easier to digest if they were either shortened or edited. Like this one.

But that isn't to say that the rest of the songs on the album are boring, quite the contrary, but just like in its predecessor, we never get to see another performance as dashing as the opening song.

With these little changes, your reviews will become even more awesome, man. Nice work again, and I'm so impressed by how much you've improved.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback.

@Omaha

Thanks for the support Jacob, as always. I'm going to go back and fix some of those sentences, because you're right some of them are a little long (I tend to get a little wordy). As for breaking up the last paragraph, I think it's fine the way it is personally. But if you really think it's better split up, then I'll divide them.

ye sonic, if you try and stop comparing it to their debut (which can be hard) it stands up well in its own right
